(six large blue bits around the vessel base, deformed and reformed vessel mouth)

The metallic and optic dynamism of the Crushed Ore Vessel combine to powerful effect. As we work the 1800 degree glass, we are always turning it and keeping it on-center, and so it is very exciting *to disrupt the natural symmetry* by exerting significant force on the vessel's heated neck, creating a unique shape each time. After the vessel is "crushed" we reopen the mouth of the vessel to make way for whatever you might wish to put inside. For us, the Crushed Ore Vessel is an allegory of the wildly beautiful and fiery process of glassblowing.

Each Crushed Ore Vessel is approximately 14-15 inches tall and 10 inches wide, weighting roughly ten pounds.  **please note, these larger pieces are made to order and will require about 4 weeks lead time to produce - you can email me, Blair, anytime if you have a time constraint: **

All of our vessels are handmade by us here in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Each varies naturally in form and color.
